Your chosen puppy can be transported via Pet Cargo to a major international airport in South Africa, such as O.R. Tambo International Airport, Cape Town International Airport, or King Shaka International Airport. Delivery timelines typically range from 8 to 12 weeks (or longer) from the adoption date, depending on the puppy’s age and compliance with South African import regulations.

The export and shipping process will begin once full payment for the puppy has been confirmed.

Due to strict animal import laws, bringing a puppy into South Africa requires:

• A valid import permit
• Up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies
• A health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian
• Possible quarantine procedures, depending on origin country
• Compliance with Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development regulations

These requirements may extend the delivery timeline.

Pet Cargo is transported in a safe, pressurized, and temperature-controlled compartment of the aircraft. Each puppy travels in an airline-approved crate with access to food and water.

Flight availability to South Africa may be limited, and bookings can be subject to delays or changes depending on airline capacity and seasonal restrictions.

If Pet Cargo routes are unavailable or restricted, we can arrange an inflight nanny service, where a trained handler personally accompanies your puppy in-cabin (where permitted).

For destinations where direct Pet Cargo flights are not available, or for very small puppies, our Inflight Nanny Service ensures a safe and hands-on delivery experience.

For the puppy’s safety and in accordance with airline policies, puppies must typically weigh at least 2 lbs to travel via Pet Cargo. Smaller puppies may require the inflight nanny service, which may include additional charges.

One of our experienced and caring nannies will personally accompany your puppy from departure to arrival, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper care throughout the journey. This service can be arranged to deliver your puppy to a major airport in South Africa or, where possible, closer to your location.
